Ioannis Kiratzis graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2015 (the fourth one in this group!). After working on Quality Controls of gunpowder for a little while, which is a rather interesting experience, he decided to pursued a PhD project at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham. Working under the supervision of Dr. Vigolo and Prof. Simmons, Ioannis focused primarily on the emulsification process in micro-channels using Fast Camera Image Velocimetry techniques.

We are delighted that Ioannis joined the group in August 2020, and he is working on multiple collaborative projects with our industrial partner, Procter & Gamble, underpinned by his solid Chemical Engineering background and exceptional skillset of microfluidics.
