Katarzyna Majerczak

Kasia is from Radom, Poland. She received both Bachelor and Master degrees as the best student from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. As a curiosity driven individual, she was involved in a broad range of extracurricular projects with various laboratory groups within the Faculty, as well as at research and industry-focused institutions. Her MSc project focused on the process simulation in obtaining calcium carbonate nanoparticles, which laid the foundation for her to pursue a doctoral project at nano and molecular scales.

As part of the Molecular Migration project, Kasia investigates the lateral migration of small molecules in complex matrix using a range of physical techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy, Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching, and Dynamic Vapour Sorption. She is one of the few AFM gurus in the group.
