Perrakis Bistis, often known as ‘Paris’ to colleagues, studied Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. After receiving his Diploma in Biotechnology and Food, he worked for a year in an asbestos lab, which was a rather interesting experience. In October 2017, he started an EngD project in University of Birmingham in collaboration with P&G to understand the chemomechanical interactions during hard surface cleaning processes. The work is primarily driven by Prof. Peter Fryer, with a vision of linking classical cleaning map to interfacial phenomena over multiple length scales.
