Evangelia Argentou

Lia graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with an excellent MEng degree in Chemical Engineering – her thesis focused on the high pressure processing and enzyme treatment of ice cream. She was fascinated (my guess) by the research experience and went on to pursue a Master degree in Biochemical Engineering at the University College London before being persuaded to work on a doctoral project sponsored by P&G.

Over the past four years, Lia has been working on deposition strategies of functional actives on textiles, which started with a suite of experimental approaches, and supplemented by molecular simulation methods in collaboration with Prof. Mark Wilson at Durham University. The exceptional work resulted in several filed patents and scientific manuscripts. The research team was delighted that Lia agreed to stay and work as a Research Fellow, working with Alex and Maria and other research partners to develop novel strategies for cleaning.
